Booking & Payment
Is the deposit part of the full retreat price?
Yes. Your deposit secures your space and is included in the total cost. It’s non-refundable, as it helps us plan the retreat and prepare everything we need for the group.
Can I pay in installments?
Yes, you’ll have the option to pay in 2, 3, or 4 parts after your deposit. Everything just needs to be settled at least 60 days before the retreat begins. If you're booking within that window, message us and we’ll do our best to help.
Can I pay in my own currency?
The deposit can be paid in your local currency via Stripe. When later paying your remaining balance, we accept GBP, EUR or USD depending on your preference.
Is it possible to pay my balance by credit card?
Yes, although there will be an additional processing fee to cover the card transaction.
Can I split the cost with someone else or use multiple payment methods?
That’s totally fine, just email us at hello@heldretreats.com and we’ll help you set it up.
Who's It For?
Do I need to have experience with yoga, movement or retreats?
No. Everything is designed to be accessible, whether you’re completely new or have done a few retreats before. You’ll be supported every step of the way and there’s no need to arrive with a plan.
What kind of age range is this for?
Our retreats are made for adults and we love to welcome people of all ages and life stages, so if the retreat speaks to you, you’re the right fit.
I’m nervous about joining a retreat alone. Will I be the only one?
Not at all. Many of our guests come on their own, and often it’s one of the most powerful ways to experience a retreat. The group forms naturally and we create space for connection without pressure.
Will I feel like I fit in with the group?
We understand this hesitation, especially if it’s your first time. We want to reassure you though that we always find that the people who choose to join our retreats tend to have a shared connection. You don’t need to be any certain way, just yourself, and you’ll probably find that you leave with a few more friends and feel part of a new community.
Accommodation & Group Details
How many people will be there?
While each retreat will vary, we never open more than 15 spaces as we prefer a more intimate and attentive atmosphere.
Will I be sharing a room?
You can choose between a shared or private room when booking. If you’re in a shared room, we take care to match you with someone we think you’ll be comfortable with, but we also trust the process. Our retreats tend to attract people with much in common.
Can I share a room with a friend?
Yes, just let us know through the registration form when you book and we’ll do our best to place you together.
Retreat Flow
Do I have to join every session?
Each retreat has a carefully designed rhythm of movement, reflection, creative practice and rest, so we would like to encourage you to follow the programme. However, we will never force you to join an activity you are not up to doing. This is your time, and we trust you to honour your needs.
Will I get to meet people before we arrive?
Yes. We’ll set up a WhatsApp group a few weeks before the retreat so you can say hello, ask questions and, if you'd like, arrange travel with other guests.
Travel & Location
What’s included in the price?
Everything you see in the itinerary is covered! From the food and accommodation, to the movement activities and planned excursions. The only things not included are flights, transport to the retreat venue, and any other optional activities outside of the retreat schedule. We also like to recommend that you add on your own travel insurance for peace of mind :)
Where do most of the other guests come from?
We usually host a mix of women from the UK, Europe, and beyond! The group is always quite international and we find that adds to the overall magic.
Can I arrive early or stay longer?
Please check the specific retreat page for more details. Sometimes it is possible to be able to stay at the retreat venue for extra time, and many guests choose to extend their trip! If this is not possible at our retreat venue, we’re happy to suggest nearby places to stay, things to do, or areas to explore if you’d like to arrive early or stay on after the retreat.
Food & Wellbeing
Do you cater for dietary needs?
Yes. You’ll be asked to share any allergies or requirements when you book. We accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and most other common needs, and will always aim to provide nourishing, beautiful meals.
Will there be Wi-Fi? Can I stay connected if needed?
Most venues have Wi-Fi, though we encourage unplugging as much as feels comfortable. You're welcome to check in with home or work when needed, but many guests choose to use the time to fully step away.
